Sausage Cheese Balls

Makes: 42 sausage cheese balls
Sausage cheese balls are a Christmas essential in the Braun household. With roots in the Braun-Gehling Christmas baking, these warm, crispy, greasy balls of sausage and cheese make a great snack or indulgent Christmas breakfast or lunch. Needless to say, they have fueled many a holiday season. We hope this simple recipe gives you as many memories mixing, rolling, and, most importantly, eating large amounts of cheese balls as it has our family.
Ingredients
- 32 ounce(s) of Jimmy Dean regular flavor ground pork breakfast sausage (2 packages)
- 1.5 cup(s) of Pioneer baking mix
- 4 cup(s) of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat over to 375 F
- Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix well with hands
- Form into 1 inch balls and place on an ungreased baking sheet
- Bake 18-20 minutes or until golden brown
- Remove from oven and cool for 5 minutes before removing from sheet
- Serve with cocktail forks or toothpicks
